Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PageGains, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and J2FB SAS, the company operating PageGains.

2. Description of Service

PageGains is an AI-powered conversion optimization tool that analyzes publicly accessible web pages and provides actionable recommendations to improve conversion rates. Analysis results are generated automatically and are provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee any specific business outcomes from following our recommendations.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use PageGains. By using the service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

Use the service only for lawful purposes
Only submit URLs for websites you own or have authorization to analyze
Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
Not interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
Provide accurate information when creating an account
Keep your account credentials secure and confidential

5. Fees & Payments

PageGains offers both one-time report purchases and subscription plans. All prices are displayed in USD and are exclusive of applicable taxes.

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your card details on our servers.
Subscription plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) and will automatically renew until cancelled.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. Any price changes will be communicated with reasonable advance notice.

6. Refund Policy

All purchases are final and non-refundable. When you purchase a report or subscribe to a plan, our service immediately begins consuming computational resources to generate your analysis. Because delivery of the service begins immediately upon purchase, we are unable to offer refunds. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from accessing your report, please contact us at info@pagegains.com and we will work to resolve it.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of PageGains — including its software, design, text, graphics, and reports — are owned by J2FB SAS and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. The analysis reports we generate for you are licensed to you for your personal or internal business use only and may not be resold or redistributed.

8. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

Resell, sublicense, or redistribute reports or access to the service
Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or use the service beyond normal browser usage
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying algorithms or models used by the service
Use the service to analyze or benchmark competitor products for commercial redistribution
Submit URLs to websites you do not own or are not authorized to analyze
Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

9. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms of Service or if your use of the service poses a risk to us or other users. Upon termination, your right to access the service ceases immediately. You may also delete your account at any time through your account settings.

10. Limitation of Liability

PageGains is provided “as is” without any warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, J2FB SAS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, revenue, or business — arising from your use of or inability to use the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of PageGains shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice in the service. Your continued use of PageGains after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless J2FB SAS and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the service; (b) your violation of these Terms of Service; or (c) your violation of any third-party rights.

14. Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure, or that any defects will be corrected. The analysis and recommendations provided are generated automatically and may contain errors or inaccuracies.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and J2FB SAS regarding your use of PageGains, and supersede all prior agreements, representations, or understandings (whether written or oral) relating to the subject matter herein.

Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

Account information (email, name) when you sign up
Payment information for paid plans (processed by Stripe — we do not store card details)
URLs you choose to analyze with our service

We also collect certain information automatically when you use the service, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and usage patterns.

We use the information we collect to:

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Supabase. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures — including industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest — to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Generated reports are stored and accessible through your account indefinitely unless you request deletion. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes.

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and understand how you use the service. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies, but some features of the service may not function properly without them.

6. Third-Party Services

We work with the following third-party service providers who may have access to your data as necessary to provide their services:

Stripe — payment processing
Supabase — database and authentication
Sentry — error monitoring

Each of these providers is contractually obligated to handle your data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

Beyond sharing with service providers listed above, we may share your information in the following circumstances:

With your consent — when you have given us explicit permission to share your data for a specific purpose.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

8. International Data Transfers

J2FB SAS is based in France, but our service providers (including Supabase and Stripe) may store and process your data in the United States or other countries. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place — such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission — to protect your data in accordance with applicable law.
